Bidly connects independent drivers with riders across regional Australia. This Driver Policy outlines the standards, requirements, and expectations for anyone driving on the Bidly platform. By signing up to drive with Bidly, you agree to comply with this Policy in full.
This Policy works alongside our [Terms of Service], [Privacy Policy], and [Community Guidelines]. Where there is a conflict, the Terms of Service will prevail.
To drive with Bidly, you must:
Bidly reserves the right to request additional documentation at any time to verify ongoing eligibility.
All prospective drivers must complete the Bidly onboarding process, which includes:
Bidly may decline an application at its sole discretion, including where a prospective driver does not meet eligibility criteria, fails a background check, or where Bidly determines acceptance is not in the interest of platform safety.
Vehicles used to provide rides through Bidly must:
Bidly may suspend a driver's access to the platform if their vehicle no longer meets these standards.
Drivers are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and safety. This includes:

Professional Conduct
Zero Tolerance Bidly has a strict zero-tolerance policy for the following, which will result in immediate and permanent deactivation:
Riders rate their experience after every trip. Bidly uses ratings, along with other performance indicators (acceptance rate, cancellation rate, on-time performance, and complaint history), to monitor driver quality.
Bidly will always provide drivers with visibility into their current rating and performance metrics via the Bidly Driver app.
Drivers operate as independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Bidly. Nothing in this Policy creates an employment relationship, partnership, or joint venture between Bidly and any driver. Drivers are free to determine their own hours, accept or decline trip requests, and may drive for other platforms, subject to compliance with this Policy and applicable law.
Bidly may conduct periodic re-checks of a driver's background, licence status, and vehicle registration/insurance to ensure continued eligibility. Drivers must promptly notify Bidly of:
Failure to disclose relevant changes may result in immediate suspension or deactivation.
For a better experience and to provide our services, we may collect certain personal information, including users' and drivers' name, email address, phone number, profile picture, and location data.
We collect location data to enable location-based features such as ride matching, receiving ride requests, pickup coordination, live trip tracking, and communication between riders and drivers.
For the Bidly Driver app, location data may be collected even when the app is closed or not actively in use. This background location access is required to allow drivers to receive ride requests and support live trip tracking during rides.
For the Bidly app, location data is used to determine pickup locations, enable live trip tracking, and support the Trusted Contacts feature.
The Bidly app may request access to the user's contacts to allow them to add Trusted Contacts. When activated during a ride, the selected emergency contacts may receive an SMS containing the user's live location, driver name, and vehicle information. Contact information is not used for marketing or advertising purposes.
We use location data to provide and operate our services and related features. We do not use location data for any other purpose.
Bidly may suspend or permanently deactivate a driver's account where:
Where possible, Bidly will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue prior to deactivation, except in cases of safety-related or zero-tolerance violations, which may result in immediate deactivation without notice.
We respect your right to control your personal information. You can permanently delete your account directly from within the app without contacting customer support.
How to delete your account:
